I saw fine mountain views from my balcony every morning while Joseph drove me to prominent locations in his own taxi. The room remained spotlessly clean, and I had delicious homemade breakfast delivered on time each day. I also used the electric kettle in my room to make tea whenever I needed a warm drink during my stay.

Mountain ranges from the private balconies

I watched the Munnar Mountain ranges from the balcony of my room each morning. Sudakar looked after my group of retired engineers during our visit. I ate homely food throughout my stay in this home stay.

Watching the sunset from the terrace

I watched the sunrise over the hills from the terrace while I ate the breakfast served there every morning. My family slept in the family room with two interconnecting doubles. I visited the Sky Bar in Anachal to watch the sunset over the tea plantation.

Common terrace in a spice garden

I woke up to bird songs while staying in a room nestled amidst nutmeg, turmeric, cardamom, and coconut trees. I spent my free time on the large shared terrace, where I met fellow travellers and drank tea I made in the common area. The host family prepared meals for me each night on that same terrace, which overlooked the surrounding forest.

I stayed in a wooden room built by Bennywith a private balcony overlooking the mountains. Each morning, I ate a traditional Keralan breakfast prepared with homegrown ingredients from the garden. I walked down to the private waterfall on the grounds during my stay. We prepared meals in the fully equipped shared kitchen after picking fresh spices from the cardamom plantation. I sat out on my room balcony in the evenings to enjoy the misty hill view.

I walked through the exotic fruit garden where trees and spices were labeled, providing a fun way for me to identify plants while exploring the grounds. Second floor balcony with mountain views

I watched the sunset from the huge balcony on the second floor, which gave me an unobstructed view of the surrounding tea fields. Vinu arranged a trekking tour through the mountain plantations with Vijay, who shared facts about the area. I ate vegetarian breakfast and dinner cooked by the family every day, which I found to be the highlight of my visit to the homestay.

Indoor pool behind a glass wall

I swam in the temperature-controlled indoor pool, glassed in along one wall and set near the rooms. My family and I trekked through the 66-acre cardamom plantation after we ate a varied buffet at the restaurant. Buggies traveled between the cottages on the hotel throughout the day, and I rode one to reach my cabin.
